Kids Club Kampala

One of the charities that we are proud to support through our City Women events is Kids Club Kampala.

Founded in 2010 by our very own Corrie Fraser, as well as Sam Wambayo and Olivia Barker, they have a vision to see children’s lives changed. Since then KCK has expanded from working in two communities with a hundred children to working in 17 communities and reaching over 4000 children in Uganda every day. They also run Women’s Initiatives alongside their children’s projects to empower the mothers of the children they work with.

Every year, to celebrate International Women’s Day, Kids Club Kampala holds a big celebration for all of the women that they work with to celebrate them. Last year, the women who are part of their Women’s Initiatives were asked what they would like to do for International Women’s Day and the overwhelming response from the women is that they wanted to get HIV tested. At the end of 2013 Corrie and Olivia won the award for Ultimate Global Champions at the Cosmpolitan Women of the Year Awards.
